The History
Many years ago Alistair found an old Sinclair ZX Spectrum case when clearing out a shed. The case was empty but, with the ZX Spectrum being such an iconic computer and Alistair having grown up constantly using his own ZX Spectrum, he didn't want it to go to waste.
Alistair designed a new PCB hosting a Raspberry Pi Zero to fit inside a ZX Spectrum case which would boot immediately into an emulator and let you run programs (we really mean "play games"). The PCB also leverages modern HDMI connections and MicroSD cards to "update" the ZX Spectrum for modern households and gaming tastes (no waiting 5 minutes for games to load!).
The Hermit Retro ZX Spectrum Board is a replacement board for original, or reproduction, ZX Spectrum cases. This project does not include a case.

D01 - 000000
On Vacation until the 27th of June.
This site has been setup to facilitate users to be able to purchase aftermarket goods from suppliers at a value for money price point.
Although it looks like it is very professional it is only here to serve the retro community. I do this part time.
The aim of the site is to allow the renewal of retro computers, whilst not making a huge profit. We will try to keep it like that. Enough to keep it going.
If you have a product or service that you would like to make available to the community please do not hesitate to get in touch. The more the merrier.
Any feedback, positive or negative, is truly appreciated.
Many thanks
