Spectrum +2 gray (UK) (relabelled as AMSTRAD 40058 ).
The Chip PCF1306P or later relabelled as Amstrad40058 this replacement is obtained by the reverse engineering done by Jose L. and the assistance of Mad3001 for rewiring the tracks and relabelling.
It has low power consumption, and does not generating any heat. It fits in a socket perfectly or could be soldered directly to the main board.
Pins are turned in order to improve the quality of the insertion in sockets.
There are two main colours RED and BLACK, when it is possible
the preference colour will be considered based in the stock.
IMPORTANT: The capacitor C2 (47pF) is optional and not always necessary (but included it), it depends on the latency of the main board with its memory CAS/RAS configuration and also if the board already have this capacitor (
C103 of 25pF some models already have it soldered on the MB others not). So this capacitor is not soldered by default but it is also send it. In case you need it and want it soldered already need to write me a message to specify it.
The value of C2 is calculate over a Spectrum+ 128K Issue 2.1, the best value in other board could change, but it has been tasted in a Issue 6A satisfactorily, so that is why the capacitor is included in the order if necessary.
